Lion Fight 71 – Saturday, October 23 – London, UK
Amy Pirnie vs. Regan Gowing – Lion Fight Women’s World Super Flyweight Title
Jake Peacock vs. Sevket Cerkez – Lion Fight European Super Welterweight Title
Jordan Swinton vs. Tam McCourt – Super Featherweight
Dan Tracey vs. Chris Donaldson – Super Middleweight
A pair of major title bouts have been added to LION FIGHT’s upcoming event in London, England.
Lion Fight 71 airing live on UFC FIGHT PASS on Saturday, October 23, will see Women’s Super Flyweight world champion Amy Pirnie, fresh off her second successful title defence in her home town of Glasgow, Scotland, look to keep the belt firmly in her grasp as she takes on Canada’s Regan Gowing. Also at the top of card, rising star Jake Peacock, who was born in England, puts his newly won European Super Welterweight title on the line against Sevket Cerkez.
Pirnie (24-3-1) captured the inaugural Women’s World Super Flyweight title at LF54 with a devastating first-round finish of Sandra Godvik and followed that with a decision win in her first title defence against Lommanee W. Santai. With Lion Fight debuting in Scotland this past August, the hard-hitting 28-year-old took center stage and registered a split-decision verdict over Spain’s Lara Fernandez in unquestionably one of the best-ever women’s Muay Thai bouts. Gowing (6-2), who fights out of Ottawa, Ontario, moves up from the flyweight division for a shot at the title. The quick and aggressive 34-year-old earned a key victory over Yasmine Salhani at LF66 back in May.

Peacock has been on a roll ever since stepping inside the Lion Fight ring, earning five consecutive knockout finishes. Born in London and now fighting out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Peacock (6-0) earned the North American Super Welterweight title when he stopped Kaleb Hunter in the fifth round at LF65. On Lion Fight’s first-ever trip to Scotland, the 28-year-old kept his winning ways going as he notched a second-round stoppage against Federico Alfaro to claim the inaugural European Super Welterweight title. Stepping up to the challenge is Cerkez (24-7), who is originally from Cyprus and now fights out of London. The 34-year-old has held multiple English titles and fought several notable opponents.

The remainder of the six-fight main card airing on UFC Fight Pass has also been set.
In a super featherweight showdown, Jordan Swinton (8-2; Southampton, England) will take on Tam McCourt (18-11; Glasgow, Scotland), and in what is sure to be a heavy-hitting affair in the super middleweight ranks, Dan Tracey (16-2; Bracknell, England) will stand across from Chris Donaldson (7-4-2; Manchester, England).
Lion Fight 71 is topped by the first title defence for newly crowned World Cruiserweight champion Jakub Benko of Slovakia as he takes on British star Joe Boobyer. As well, Lion Fight will present its inaugural European Middleweight championship bout with standout Scottish talent Alex MacGregor going up against Thai sensation Kwangtung Realfighter, who now fights out of Finland.
