Lion Fight North American Super Cruiserweight Title – 210 lbs. / 95 kg
The undefeated and undisputed champion puts his belt on the line in his home town of Boston. “Put ’Em To Sleep” Walker became a worldwide sensation at Lion Fight 64 as he defended his North American title with a spectacular tornado head-kick knockout just 46 seconds into his bout against Brian Collette. On that same LF64 event, Thompson captured a decision win over Cody East in the semi-round of the North American Heavyweight Title Tournament. “Destroyer” moves into the bout versus Walker, replacing Lyndon Knowles who backed out of the event.
Co-Main Event: Michael Triana (7-1) vs. Brendon Raftery (6-2)
Lion Fight North American Super Featherweight Title – 130 lbs. / 59 kg
The inaugural championship in this division is an East Coast-West Coast rivalry. Triana will have an abundance of supporters on hand as he fights out of nearby Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. He is coming off a head-kick KO win over Cody Moberly at Lion Fight 64. Raftery is originally from Boise, Idaho, but now fights out of San Diego, California, and is making his much-anticipated promotional debut.
Julian Nguyen (3-0) vs. Dwayne Holman (5-1)
Welterweight – 147 lbs. / 67 kg
One of Lion Fight’s longtime crowd favorite, Nguyen makes his long-awaited return to the ring having moved under the guidance of veteran coach Mark Dellagrotte and alongside training partner and former World champion Chip Moraza-Pollard. Holman, who fights out of out Montclair, New Jersey, USA, moved up two weight divisions to get this opportunity to play the role of spoiler with Nguyen fighting in his home town of Boston.
Shaun Shubert (1-0) vs. Jose Montelongo (1-0)
Middleweight – 160 lbs. / 72.5 kg
Shubert was Lion Fight’s first-ever amateur champion and the Holbrook, Massachusetts, USA, native now makes his return in the pro ranks near his home town. An all-action fighter, Shubert will go up against promotional newcomer “Scarface” Montelongo, a fast-paced fighter in his own right representing Arlington, Texas, USA.
Josh Thompson (pro debut) vs. Jorge Vega (pro debut)
Heavyweight – 265 lbs. / 120 kg max.
The two American rookie pros see their bout promoted to the main card. Thompson fights out of Martinsburg, West Virginia, while Vega will have nearby fan support from Providence, Rhode Island.
Jose Rivera (2-0) vs. Brian Bogue (4-4)
Super Welterweight – 159 lbs. / 72 kg
Kicking things off on UFC Fight Pass, “Braco” Rivera looks to build upon his second-round KO win over Zack Fox at Lion Fight 66. Originally from Puerto Rico, Rivera, a part-time model, now fights out of Norton, Virginia, USA. He’ll stand across from longtime New England fixture Bogue, whose initial run in Lion Fight got off to a rocky start, but “Magoo” has since rebounded with three straight wins all coming in Thailand.
