Moraza-Pollard & Smith will now vie for two titles at Indigo O2 Arena
Top American middleweight Eddie Abasolo will represent his country and promotion after being added to the lineup for Muay Thai Grand Prix Presents Lion Fight 39 coming up on Saturday, November 18th in London, England.
Abasolo (8-1), who also signed a new multi-deal with Lion Fight Promotions, will take on Jersey Pinto in a featured main-card matchup for the event taking place at the Indigo inside the O2 Arena. This bout comes on the heels of the Dublin, California, fighter’s most-recent outing when he overcame a mid-fight injury to register a fifth-round TKO verdict against PJ Sweda at Lion Fight 36 back in April.
The Muay Thai Grand Prix Presents Lion Fight 39 card is topped by a showdown where the stakes just became higher.
Lion Fight champion Chip “The Surgeon” Moraza-Pollard (5-0), who fights out of Plymouth, Massachusetts, defends his newly won cruiserweight title against England’s own Jordan Smith (12-0), and now the MTGP cruiserweight crown has been added to the treasure chest.
Moraza-Pollard captured the Lion Fight belt when he bested Paul Banasiak in a five-round thriller this past June at Lion Fight 37.
The Lion Fight 39 card will also feature a clash for the MTGP super featherweight title as reigning champion Jose “Pitbull” Varela of Portugal takes on challenger Keith McLachlan of Scotland.
More bouts and broadcast details will be announced shortly.
